Club Workshop - CVCC Photo Review and Constructive Critique
This month will be our quarterly Photo Review and Critique. This is an opportunity to share some of your work in a group setting and hear what other members think of your work. The choice is yours as to whether you wish to participate or observe. In the past, members have displayed portions of current works they have been working on or older photos that present a particular subject or technique they wish to share. Others have presented photos looking for input on ways to improve. Because of time constraints, we ask that you keep the number of photos to three. You will be asked to comment on your photos. Those offering critique should keep their comments positive and not focus on personal style differences. The purpose is to offer constructive comments with the intent to encourage participation and advancement in photographic knowledge and skills. The photos will be displayed by computer and projector so to facilitate that effort, it is best that your photos be in JPEG format on a thumb drive. A CD or DVR is also acceptable. It is helpful that your thumb drive be free of other photos so the ones you wish to display are easily found. Also, please have your name on the thumb drive
so you can get it back with relative ease. If you have prints to share, that’s ok too.
The meeting will begin at 7PM with some club business. The photo review and critique will start thereafter. This meeting usually ends between 8:30 and 9PM. |
